After the liquid heat of Bangkok and the beautiful people of a two day helter-skelter Welsh festival – watching the evening light flood a mountain valley from my balcony in Santorini is as close to paradise as I can imagine. Sitting in the warm dry Aegean wind, as summer softly starts to fade… So heaven then, on earth. The whole thing together I guess – maniacal travelling, warm moments in the smiling eyes of strangers as I look hopefully at them from a stage; Welsh women laughing in the trees and children dancing to my songs, and joining me inevitably on stage, to look into the light…

WORKING ON A NEW ALBUM IN THE COMPANY OF MY KIDS – Brilliant light held between an azure sky and an azure sea – Ios across the straight a deeper stain in blue, scribbled by wind on waves. A lovely place to think about music, in the strong, warm northerly wind, and the shadow of Atlantis.

TALKING WITH ARTEMIDOROS – looking for inspiration. He retired to this small Greek city on a high limestone headland and built his Temedoros. In the heavy shade of Camphor and Pine to look across the wine dark sea and revel in the wind from the North. My kind of town, my kind of venue
